Today I’m launching Ploisy
Introducing Ploisy — a local-first app to import messy bank statements, understand your finances, and keep your data private.

Introducing Ploisy
For years I exported bank statements, fixed broken CSV columns, renamed headers, and still couldn’t clearly understand my finances.
Different banks. Different formats. Different currencies. Endless manual work.
So I built Ploisy.
Ploisy is a local-first finance app that imports bank statements from any bank and turns them into a clean, structured financial history — without sending your data to the cloud.
The Problem
If you’ve ever tried to track your finances across multiple accounts, you’ve probably seen this:
• CSVs with random column names
• XLS files with merged cells
• Dates in five different formats
• Amounts with commas, dots, parentheses, or currency symbols
• Duplicate or missing transactions
Every import becomes a small engineering project.
Existing tools assume perfect data or require uploading sensitive financial information to external servers.
That didn’t work for me.
The Idea Behind Ploisy
Ploisy focuses on three principles:
1. Local-first privacy
Your bank data stays on your machine. No servers. No syncing unless you choose to export.
2. Smart imports
Ploisy analyzes your CSV/XLS automatically:
detects headers
guesses column mappings
normalizes numbers and dates
handles multiple bank formats
3. Clean financial history
Once imported, you can:
organize accounts
review transactions
build a reliable financial timeline
Built for Real Bank Data
I’m testing Ploisy with real-world messy files — including different formats from local banks and e-commerce workflows.
If you deal with exports from multiple accounts, side projects, or small businesses, Ploisy is designed for that reality.
What’s Next
Planned features:
automatic categorization
multi-currency support
recurring transaction detection
visual dashboards
optional encrypted sync
Looking for Early Adopters
I’m looking for early users willing to try Ploisy with real bank statements and give feedback.
If you want early access:
Your feedback will shape the roadmap.
